Whom We Serve
Mission Statement
Encircle Therapy facilitates healing by providing ethical and affordable mental healthcare for LGBTQIA+ people & families navigating the intersection of identity development with cis/heteronormative faith traditions and cultures.
-
A therapy group is typically more structured and includes education about specific topics. Therapy groups are led by licensed therapists whereas Friendship Circles are led by volunteers and community members.
-
This group is going to be 12 weeks long. If you want to join the group again in the future, you are more than welcome!
-
We ask that you attend as many sessions possible. We are asking that folks only sign up for this group if they can attend the majority of sessions. Consistency and regular attendance in group therapy yields longer lasting results (Zimmerman, 2019; Page & Hooke, 2009).
-
There are no “off limit” topics in group– topics we anticipate coming up in this group include: how to manage gender dysphoria, navigating anti-trans laws, sharing moments of gender joy, coming out processes, navigating interpersonal relationships, and so much more!
-
Trans/Gender Diverse Adult Therapy Group will cost $30 per session. Discounts are available for individuals who want to pay the 12 weeks in advance.
-
Trans/Gender Diverse Adult Therapy Groups will start in late Summer around August. However, if you are interested, don’t wait, use the link here to save your spot!
