Art Night: Artist Spotlight: Textile Storyteller Diedrick Brackens

To celebrate the first week of Black History Month, art night will feature a colorful weaving activity inspired by acclaimed textile artist Diedrick Brackens (he/him). Brackens’ work has been featured in museums and galleries across the globe and visually explores his Black and queer identities as well as American history. This activity offers the opportunity to explore your own identity through color, pattern, and texture. All materials will be provided, just bring yourself.

Open to ages 12-25. Experience self-exploration through creativity with others in our community. Bring a friend or stop in on your own. All materials are provided and it is free to attend. Join us for an evening filled with fun and inspiring work led by local artists!
