Art Night: Typography Scavenger Hunt ✒️

From Piet Mondrian’s colorful squares to Da Vinci’s beautifully proportional golden ratio, artists have been exploring shapes in their work for centuries. Today, shapes continue to surround us and we may not even notice their presence — a great example is typography or letters. At this art night, we will explore the unique shapes of letters all around us and use their forms to create a collection of diverse shapes.

Open to ages 12-25. Experience self-exploration through creativity with others in our community. Bring a friend or stop in on your own. All materials are provided and it is free to attend. Join us for an evening filled with fun and inspiring work led by local artists!

Art Night: Charcoal drawing ✏️

Popular since the Renaissance, charcoal is a unique medium commonly used to explore figure or still-life drawing. Charcoal is also a popular choice for more abstract work due to its range of value and tendency to smudge. Join us for an introduction to this classic (and sometimes messy) drawing medium. Not confident with your drawing skills? This art night is perfect for you to explore charcoal techniques without even knowing how to draw more than a stick figure.

Open to ages 12-25. Experience self-exploration through creativity with others in our community. Bring a friend or stop in on your own. All materials are provided and it is free to attend. Join us for an evening filled with fun and inspiring work led by local artists!
