What can I do at Encircle?

At Encircle, there is something for everyone! Take a look below at the different positions we have available to find what works for you!


The Drop-In team is the first point of contact for many visitors, callers, and community members. Responsibilities include welcoming/greeting visitors and callers, baking cookies and other treats, helping with homework, and providing information, resources and referrals. If you are a people-person and are able to commit to a weekly schedule, then this is the job for you!

Adminstrative assistant

If you like administrative work, we certainly have a place for you! Volunteers are needed to assist and support staff members in a variety of office duties such as database management, mailings, and general office support.


House chores & Upkeep Team

In order to maintain the beautiful home that is Encircle, volunteers assist in completing house chores, grocery shopping, gardening, and/or other upkeep duties.

Class/Event Hosts

Volunteers are needed for our Classes, Support Groups, and other events. Volunteers will be involved in planning, facilitating, supporting and evaluating program efforts. Ideal candidates will have prior experience working with families, youth, and the LGBTQ population, as well as leading discussions, peer-facilitated groups, and/or classes. If you have skills in activities, such as: art, music, yoga, and you would like to lead a class, then this is the volunteer position for you!

In order to best serve our community, Encircle will provide training for our volunteers on specific topics. All volunteers will be required to complete suicide prevention training prior to interfacing with those we serve. 

 The first full day of volunteer orientation covering key topics for all volunteers on Saturday, May 6th.  This training will include LGBT+ cultural competency, Encircle policies and procedures and suicide prevention training for those who still need it.
