Writing Night: Poetry and Performance: How to “Slam-Dunk” a Slam

This week we will turn written word into spoken word while we discuss the performance of poetry. Poetry is often embarrassing to perform and embarrassing to listen to! After this lesson participants should feel more confident in a performance context and have a greater appreciation for poetic performance. The lesson will include some performance tips, poetry performance, and the chance to attempt a performance of their own (if comfortable).
