Mindy Gledhill - Pop ArtisT

Mindy Gledhill’s musical journey has led her all over the map— from recording a wildly successful independent album in Los Angeles with Juno-nominated producer Stuart Brawley (Lenka, Emmy Rossum) to creating her latest solo record in the creative epicenter of East Nashville with acclaimed producer Cason Cooley (Sixpence None the Richer, Katie Herzig, Matthew Perryman Jones). Sparks flew when she was featured on a Grammy-nominated album (Kaskade’s Fire & Ice), and when her songs debuted on primetime TV (So You Think You Can Dance, Bones, 20/20 The Good Wife), and in commercials (LG Phones, Fruit of the Loom’s Olympic ad campaign 2012 and State Farm Insurance's Super Bowl Campaign 2014). Her most recent creative endeavor has been the release of an electronic project called Hive Riot, which was launched as a platform to raise awareness and funds for LGBTQIA rights. Coincidentally, Hive Riot won "Best Pop Album" at the Independent Music Awards in 2016.

Stephenie Larsen - Encircle Executive Director

Stephenie and her husband, Mitch, love Utah County and have chosen to raise their six children here. She received a law degree from J. Reuben Clark Law School. She is a member of the Utah State Bar. While living in Washington, D.C. Stephenie was an attorney for abused and neglected inner-city children. She worked on Capitol Hill for both the House Committee for Children, Youth & Family and Utah Congressman Bill Orton. In Washington, D.C, she also worked for the lobbying firm MacAndrew and Forbes. Stephenie combines these years of experience advocating for youth with her passion for supporting LGBTQ+ individuals.  She believes that all young people are deserving of love and acceptance and is committed to making Encircle a safe place for all who enter.

We Need Encircle

When loved ones come out to their families, too often they feel forced to seek answers alone. The Encircle: Family and Youth Resource Center will enable families to do what they do best — support one another through challenging times.

Here, families will discover reliable information and referrals based on nationally recognized best practices. All materials are tailored to meet the specific needs of our predominantly, but not exclusively, Mormon community.

The majority of LGBTQ youth, adults, and family members experience higher rates of depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and family alienation. The latest research overwhelmingly reveals that the more love and acceptance sexual and gender minority youth are given, the more likely they are to succeed in life. And the most significant source of that love and acceptance is the family.
