Read the blog post by playwright Matthew Greene:

Plan-B develops and produces unique and socially conscious theatre by Utah playwrights and have been recognized by the Dramatists Guild of America as the only professional theatre company in the United States producing full seasons of new plays by local playwrights.

They are not the only professional Utah theatre company producing LGBTQ-themed work. They are, however, the only professional Utah theatre company committed to doing so every season, having premiered 25 LGBTQ-themed plays since 2001.

Plan-B has been honored with ‘Organization of the Year’ awards from the Human Rights Campaign, Equality Utah and Transgender Education Advocates of Utah (twice).

Plan-B has held similar benefit performances for Equality Utah, Human Rights Campaign, Transgender Education Advocates of Utah, Utah Pride Center, OUTreach Resource Center, People With AIDS Coalition of Utah, The LGBTQ Resource Center at the University of Utah and Utah AIDS Foundation.

Encircle is so thankful to Plan-B Theatre for their continuous support of LGBTQ+ artists and beautiful LGBTQ+ themed work, and for giving us this opportunity to raise funds and awareness that build love and inclusion of LGBTQ+ youth and their families in our wonderful community.
