  Barb Young - Board Co-Chair   For over two decades, Barb has been a strong advocate for children and families, LGBTQ rights, and integrative healthcare. Barb has been recognized by the Human Rights Campaign, Affirmation, and the Arizona Interfaith Movement for her passionate work. Including Encircle, her most recent work is being the live event producer for the 2017 LoveLoud festival. Along with her husband, Steve Young, Barb co-chairs the Forever Young Foundation, serving children facing significant physical, emotional, and financial challenges by providing them with academic, athletic, and therapeutic opportunities. Barb created the foundation’s newest initiative, “Sophie’s Place”: a dedicated music therapy facility in children’s hospitals. Most notably, Barb finds her greatest joy raising four wonderful children, spanning from ages nine to seventeen, to be active, compassionate, thoughtful human beings.

  Will Spendlove - Board Co-Chair   Board Co-Chair Will Spendlove is an advocate of the LGBTQ community and a strong supporter of equality and respect for all people. Will attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate degree and attended The University of Utah for a Masters in Business Administration. Will served a mission for the LDS Church in Trinidad and Tobago, and then worked at the Missionary Training Center for two years after his mission. At the age of 33, Will came out of the closet and decided to live an authentic life as a gay man. Will has volunteered for the Trevor Project and serves as an executive sponsor for his company's LGBTQ employee resource group. Will is a Vice President of Marketing at Salesforce.

Will Spendlove - Board Co-Chair

Will Spendlove is an advocate of the LGBTQ community and a strong supporter of equality and respect for all people. Will attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate degree and attended The University of Utah for a Masters in Business Administration.   Holly Alden   Holly Tholstrom Alden is the director of the Alden Charitable Foundation which she operates jointly with her children, ages 17 to 25, to support philanthropic local efforts such as the ‘Holly House,’ a transitional home for familIes fleeing polygamy and her newest project, the Encircle house in Provo supporting LGBT youth. She has been involved in numerous entrepreneurial efforts over 27 years including Skullcandy, headquartered in Park City, UT and Stance Socks, based in San Clemente, California. She received her BA in Behavioral Sciences from Metropolitan State University in Colorado. She currently resides in Park City, Utah. Holly also sits on the board of Sunstone Symposium.

  Nina Brostrom - Board Secretary   Nina was raised in Farmington, UT and graduated from Brigham Young University with a Public Relations degree. Before starting a family with her husband Kyle, Nina worked for several years as a marketing director. Nina has spent the last 12 years raising children full time. Nina has had the privilege of being the confidant to loved ones who’ve struggled to reconcile their experience as LGBTQ members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. These relationships have given Nina the desire to create better resources for LGBTQ individuals and families who are trying to gain understanding and help.

Nina was raised in Farmington, UT and graduated from Brigham Young University with a Public Relations degree.   Stephenie Larsen    Stephenie is the founder of Encircle. Stephenie was recognized at the 2017 Human Rights Campaign Awards and at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.  She was named one of 11 UpStanders by Starbucks Coffee, recognizing her as an example of what it means to have courage in today’s America.  Encircle recently hosted one of the largest LGBTQ youth summits in the US and it also supported the creation of the LOVELOUD Festival featuring Imagine Dragons and Neon Trees.  Stephenie has appeared on the Today Show and Encircle has been featured on NBC News and the Huffington Post.    Stephenie is a BYU graduate.  She got her undergraduate degree in Family Sciences and then her law degree.  While practicing law Stephenie represented abused and neglected children and worked on Capitol Hill. She and her husband, Mitch have six children and live in Provo
